EMILYs List Endorses Six More Women Leaders for the Nevada Legislature

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, endorsed six more women leaders for the Nevada Legislature. Stephanie Schriock, president of EMILYs List, released the following statement:

“EMILYs List is thrilled to endorse six more outstanding women leaders for the Nevada Legislature. These women are passionate advocates for progress who have dedicated their careers to serving as a voice for marginalized communities. Nevada has a long history of strong women’s leadership, and we are confident these educators, lawyers, scientists, and activists will continue this trend. EMILYs List is proud to stand beside women who understand that Nevada’s strength is its diversity, and we look forward to sending them to Carson City this fall.”

EMILYs List endorsed the following women:
Roberta Lange (SD-07)
Radhika Kunnel (AD-02)
Shondra Summers-Armstrong (AD-06)
Cecelia González (AD-16)
Venicia Considine (AD-18)
Natha Anderson (AD-30)

These endorsements are in addition to 15 previously endorsed EMILYs List candidates in Nevada: Kristee Watson (SD-05), Nicole Cannizzaro (SD-06), Dallas Harris (SD-11), Wendy Jauregui-Jackins (SD-15), Liz Becker (SD-18), Connie Munk (AD-04), Brittney Miller (AD-05), Rochelle Nguyen (AD-10), Bea Duran (AD-11), Clara Thomas (AD-17), Elaine Marzola (AD-21), Lesley Cohen (AD-29), Michelle Gorelow (AD-35), Shea Backus (AD-37), and Sandra Jauregui (AD-41).

EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, has raised over $600 million to elect pro-choice Democratic women candidates. With a grassroots community of over five million members, EMILY's List helps Democratic women win competitive campaigns – across the country and up and down the ballot – by recruiting and training candidates, supporting strong campaigns, researching the issues that impact women and families, and turning out women voters to the polls. Since our founding in 1985, we have helped elect 150 women to the House, 26 to the Senate, 16 governors, and nearly 1,100 women to state and local office. Nearly 40 percent of the candidates EMILYs List has helped elect to Congress have been women of color. During the historic 2017-2018 cycle, EMILYs List raised a record-breaking $110 million and launched a record independent expenditure campaign. We helped elect 34 new women to the House, including 24 red-to-blue victories; enough seats to have delivered the U.S. House majority alone. Since the 2016 election, more than 55,000 women have reached out to EMILY's List about running for office laying the groundwork for the next decade of candidates for local, state and national offices.
