EMILYs List Endorses Sandra Jauregui for Nevada Lieutenant Governor

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, endorsed Sandra Jauregui for Nevada lieutenant governor. EMILYs List President Jessica Mackler released the following statement:

Sandra Jauregui is a member of the Nevada state Assembly and 2019 EMILYs List Rising Star Award nominee who has a record of fighting for Nevadans throughout her entire career. During the Great Recession, she worked in Nevada’s Home Again program to help Nevadans stay in their homes. As a survivor of the 1 October shooting, Sandra turned personal tragedy into action, championing commonsense gun violence prevention laws that protect Nevadans across the state. When she was elected to the state Legislature she put working families first — tackling affordable housing, capping the cost of insulin and lowering health care costs, creating good-paying jobs, and safeguarding wages and benefits for state employees during the pandemic. Sandra has taken on some of the toughest fights and won, delivering real results for working families. Now, Sandra is running to bring that same bold leadership and proven track record to the lieutenant governor’s office.
