EMILYs List Endorses Maggie Goodlander for New Hampshire’s 2nd Congressional District
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, endorsed Maggie Goodlander for New Hampshire’s 2nd Congressional District. EMILYs List President Jessica Mackler released the following statement:
“Maggie Goodlander has years of experience in public service and we are proud to endorse her to represent New Hampshire’s 2nd Congressional District. Goodlander understands what it means to work on behalf of the American people and will fight to protect our fundamental freedoms and right to abortion access. We are confident that she will stand up against anti-choice extremists in the U.S. House and will ensure Granite Staters have access to affordable health care and protection against corporate monopolies. Maggie Goodlander has dedicated her life to public service. Her career began working as a foreign policy advisor in the United States Senate, where she was instrumental in creating landmark sanctions legislation and strengthening democracy around the world. She taught constitutional law at University of New Hampshire and Dartmouth and served on the boards of the New Hampshire’s Women’s Foundation, New Hampshire Legal Assistance, the World Affairs Council of New Hampshire, and the Rudman Center Advisory Board. Goodlander served as counsel in the first impeachment of former President Donald Trump. After President Biden was elected, she became the Deputy Assistant Attorney General at the U.S. Department of Justice, where she took on corporate monopolies and stood up to real estate companies colluding on rent price and big health care companies that are making life harder for hardworking New Hampshire residents. Recently, Goodlander was a senior advisor in the Biden administration and led the Unity Agenda for the nation, which is dedicated to beating the opioid epidemic, tackling the mental health crisis, holding Big Tech accountable, meeting our sacred obligation to veterans, and ending cancer as we know it. Goodlander is committed to ensuring an equitable and affordable life for every Granite Stater.
