EMILYs List Endorses Jennifer Boysko for Virginia State Senate

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, endorsed Jennifer Boysko in a special election for Virginia state Senate District 33, a seat most recently held by Congresswoman-elect Jennifer Wexton. Stephanie Schriock, president of EMILYs List, released the following statement:

We are confident she will continue to be a progressive voice and leader of change in Richmond once elected in January. Congresswoman-elect Wexton is leaving some big shoes to fill, but Jennifer Boysko is absolutely the right candidate to fill them. EMILYs List is excited to stand with her in her campaign.”

Delegate Jennifer Boysko currently represents the people of Herndon, Oak Hill, Chantilly, and Sterling Park in Virginia’s 86th Assembly District. As a delegate, Jennifer has sponsored and cosponsored legislation ranging from bills seeking to expand access to affordable health care and protect women’s reproductive rights, strengthened economic opportunity, and addressed failing infrastructure including improving traffic conditions. Jennifer previously served as an aide to Dranesville Supervisor John Foust and acted as his representative for all issues facing the Herndon area regarding land use and transportation, Metro area planning, town government, and constituent services. Jennifer lives with her husband and their two daughters in Historic Downtown Herndon.
