EMILYs List Endorses Four Women in Critical Pickup Opportunities for the North Carolina General Assembly

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, is expanding our slate of endorsements in the 2026 North Carolina state legislative races. EMILYs List President Jessica Mackler released the following statement:

“In North Carolina, Democratic women are going to be at the center of the fight to break the Republican supermajority in the state Senate and expand Democratic power in the state House. EMILYs List is proud to endorse Jessica, April, Evonne, and Amy – four battle-tested women who are stepping up to fight and deliver impactful results for North Carolina working families.” 

EMILYs List endorses the following candidates for election:

  • Jessica Bichler (NC-SD07)
  • April Cook (NC-SD34)
  • Evonne Hopkins (NC-HD35)
  • Amy Taylor North (NC-HD74)

EMILYs List previously announced endorsements this cycle of four battle-tested women leaders – Lisa Grafstein (NC-SD13), Woodson Bradley (NC-SD42), Beth Helfrich (NC-HD98), and Lindsey Prather (NC-HD115) – to the North Carolina General Assembly.
