July 18, 2024

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, endorsed eight Democratic pro-choice women to the New Hampshire House of Representatives. EMILYs List President Jessica Mackler released the following statement:

“These women are proven leaders who have stood up against Republicans’ attempts to restrict abortion access. It is crucial that we reelect these Democratic pro-choice women and hold every blue seat to flip the New Hampshire state Legislature. These leaders will continue fighting for our reproductive freedoms and have worked towards funding public schools, lowering energy costs, and protecting Granite Staters. EMILYs List is proud to endorse them for reelection to the New Hampshire state House.”

EMILYs List endorsed the following slate of candidates for election:

  • Corinne Cascadden, NH-HD Coös 5
  • Alicia Gregg, NH-HD Hillsborough 7
  • Wendy Thomas, NH-HD Hillsborough 12
  • Jessica Grill, NH-HD Hillsborough 18
  • Kat McGhee, NH-HD Hillsborough 35
  • Cassandra Levesque, NH-HD Strafford 4

These candidates join two other Democratic pro-choice women endorsed by EMILYs List for the New Hampshire state Legislature this November: Shannon Chandley (NH-SD11) and Donna Soucy (NH-SD18).

EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, works to elect Democratic pro-choice women up and down the ballot and across the country with a goal of fighting for our rights and our communities. Our work is centered around a fundamental vision: Run. Win. Change the World. EMILYs List has raised $850 million in service to that vision and has helped Democratic women win competitive elections by recruiting and training candidates, supporting and helping build strong campaigns, researching the issues that impact women and families, running one of the largest independent expenditure operations for Democrats, and turning out women voters to the polls. Since our founding in 1985, we have helped elect the country’s first woman as vice president, 175 women to the House, 26 to the Senate, 20 governors, and over 1,500 women to state and local office. More than 40% of the candidates EMILYs List has helped elect to Congress have been women of color. Visit www.emilyslist.org for more information.
