August 7, 2025

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, endorsed Christina Hines for election to Michigan’s 10th Congressional District – one of the top targeted races to secure the U.S. House majority. EMILYs List President Jessica Mackler released the following statement:

“Christina Hines is an experienced prosecutor who has spent her career fighting for Michigan families and we are thrilled to endorse her in one of the most critical races to take back the U.S. House. As chaos continues coming out of Washington, Christina is the best candidate to win in 2026 and take on the reckless Republican agenda that is putting the livelihoods, health care, and freedoms of Michigan’s working families at risk. EMILYs List is committed to helping her flip this seat and deliver real leadership for Michigan’s 10th Congressional District.”

Christina Hines is an experienced prosecutor and Macomb County native who has spent over a decade fighting for women, children, and vulnerable communities. She has prosecuted some of Michigan’s toughest cases  — from homicides and human trafficking to sexual assault and hate crimes —  and led efforts to improve how law enforcement supports survivors. As chief of the Special Victims Unit and Appeals at the Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s Office, she launched the Restorative Justice Deflection and Diversion Program and brought the Fair Michigan program to Washtenaw County. Hines has a proven record of delivering justice and is ready to take that fight to Congress for Michigan families.
