EMILYs List Congratulates Six Women on Their Election to the Wisconsin State Assembly
EMILYs List-endorsed women help protect the governor’s veto

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, EMILY's List, the nation's largest resource for women in politics, celebrated the election of six pro-choice Democratic women to the Wisconsin State Assembly. Stephanie Schriock, president of EMILY's List, released the following statement:

“Congratulations to these six incredible women leaders for winning their elections, and helping to protect Governor Evers’ veto. While we can expect Wisconsin Republicans to continue thwarting progress and attacking women and families, these women will be the leaders Wisconsinites desperately need in the legislature and will hold Republicans, who exploited the redistricting process in 2011, accountable when it’s time to draw new maps next year. EMILYs List is thrilled to see these pro-choice Democratic women serving their communities throughout Wisconsin and we look forward to the accountability and progress that will come with their leadership in Madison.”

EMILYs List congratulates the following candidates on their victories:
Sara Rodriguez (AD-13)
Robyn Vining (AD-14)
Deb Andraca (AD-23)
Lee Snodgrass (AD-57)
Beth Meyers (AD-74)
Kristina Shelton (AD-90)

EMILYs List is still waiting for results in the following races:
Kim Jensen (AD-01)
Sarah Yacoub (AD-30)

EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, has raised over $600 million to elect pro-choice Democratic women candidates. With a grassroots community of over five million members, EMILY's List helps Democratic women win competitive campaigns – across the country and up and down the ballot – by recruiting and training candidates, supporting strong campaigns, researching the issues that impact women and families, and turning out women voters to the polls. Since our founding in 1985, we have helped elect 150 women to the House, 26 to the Senate, 16 governors, and nearly 1,100 women to state and local office. Nearly 40 percent of the candidates EMILYs List has helped elect to Congress have been women of color. During the historic 2017-2018 cycle, EMILYs List raised a record-breaking $110 million and launched a record independent expenditure campaign. We helped elect 34 new women to the House, including 24 red-to-blue victories; enough seats to have delivered the U.S. House majority alone. Since the 2016 election, more than 60,000 women have reached out to EMILY's List about running for office laying the groundwork for the next decade of candidates for local, state, and national offices.
