LOS ANGELES, CA – On Friday, February 9, EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, will host a Los Angeles luncheon. Featuring EMILYs List-endorsed candidates and elected officials from around the country, the event will highlight what’s at stake in the upcoming election and the organization’s mission: to help Democratic pro-choice women run for office and win, so they can change the world.
Attendees will hear from U.S. Senator Laphonza Butler, Los Angeles Supervisor Holly Mitchell and a panel featuring senatorial candidates Prince George’s County (Maryland) Executive Angela Alsobrooks and Rep. Elissa Slotkin (MI-07); who will discuss their candidacies and the importance of expanding the Democratic majority in the Senate to protect the rights and freedoms of millions of Americans.
The program will feature EMILYs List Interim President Jessica Mackler and EMILYs List Board Members Wendy Gruel, Michael Tubbs and Jen Lin.
