Florida State University News: Institute of Politics speaker series kicks off new season Oct. 7

The Institute of Politics at Florida State University (IOP@FSU) will kick off its flagship speaker series Thursday, Oct. 7, with a talk by Christina Reynolds, the vice president of communications for EMILYs List, a political action committee devoted to increasing the number of pro-choice women in elected office. 

Reynolds’ talk will be the first in the Strengthening American Democracy speaker series. The series, which debuted last year as the “Celebrating Civility Speaker Series,” will adopt a new theme each year to reflect the current political climate, said IOP Director Hans Hassell.
