Des Moines Register: Fundraising powerhouse EMILY's List backs Abby Finkenauer in U.S. Senate race

Fundraising powerhouse EMILY's List is backing Iowa Democrat Abby Finkenauer in her bid for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Republican Chuck Grassley. 

The group's entry into the race follows speculation that outside fundraising could be more difficult for Iowa Democrats in 2022. Despite record-breaking fundraising in their efforts to unseat Republican U.S. Sen. Joni Ernst in 2020, Democrat Theresa Greenfield lost that race by about 6 percentage points as the state swung heavily to the right.
