Kevin Nicholson Won't Stand Up for Women's Health

WASHINGTON, D.C. –  Wisconsin Republican Senate candidate Kevin Nicholson's political expediency is once again on full display. After facing attacks over his Democratic operative past and reversing his previous position to push an anti-choice agenda, Nicholson is now trying to 'moderate' his position. Christina Reynolds, vice president of communications at EMILYs List, released the following statement:

“Years ago, Republican Senate candidate Kevin Nicholson was once a Democratic operative who pledged a 'strong partnership' with our organization to help elect pro-choice Democratic women. But when his past caught heat from his fellow conservative Senate primary opponents, Nicholson switched gears and bragged that he was 'strongly pro-life' in a desperate attempt to save his GOP candidacy.”

“Now, apparently Nicholson's polls and consultants are telling him that he needs to 'moderate' himself. Wisconsin women can't trust a candidate to stand up for their health care and their rights when he changes his tune with every new poll he conducts.”
