EMILYs List Statement on the Equal Rights Amendment

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today President Biden declared the Equal Rights Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which guarantees all Americans equal rights and protections under the law regardless of sex, the law of the land. EMILYs List President Jessica Mackler released the following statement:

We’re grateful for President Biden’s recognition of the fact that no American should ever be discriminated against because of their sex. His declaration is a beacon of hope in this century-long fight to guarantee women’s equal rights and protections under the law.
