EMILYs List Congratulates 23 Democratic Pro-Choice Women on Defending the Virginia Senate and Flipping the House

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, congratulates 23 EMILYs List-endorsed Democratic pro-choice champions on winning their election and reelection to the Virginia state legislature. EMILYs List Interim President Jessica Mackler released the following statement:

“Abortion was on the ballot in Virginia, and once again, voters have unequivocally turned out to protect our reproductive rights. The Democratic pro-choice women elected to the state legislature tonight will protect abortion rights not just for Virginians, but for people across the South. EMILYs List is thrilled to congratulate them on their victories, and to congratulate the people of Virginia on securing a state legislature that will truly fight for their rights.”
