EMILY’S List Candidates Continue Gaining Momentum in Q1

WASHINGTON, D.C. – EMILYs List-endorsed candidates announced impressive fundraising for the first quarter of 2022. Laphonza Butler, president of EMILYs List, released the following statement:
 
“EMILYs List-endorsed candidates are continuing to build momentum in key races throughout the country, in the face of Republican-led attacks on abortion access across the country. We are excited to see how these capable and determined candidates progress with the full support of the EMILYs List community.”

  • Rep. Katie Porter raised over $3.1 million this quarter for her reelection campaign for California’s 47th Congressional District.
  • Jessica Cisneros outraised incumbent Henry Cuellar in their race for Texas’ 28th Congressional District, pulling in $1.7 million.
  • Rep. Elissa Slotkin raised over $1.3 million in her bid to represent Michigan’s 7th Congressional District.
  • Rep. Elaine Luria raised over $1.2 million this quarter, outraising Republican opponents for Virginia’s 2nd Congressional District more than two times over. 
  • Rep. Abigail Spanberger raised over $1.1 million in the race for Virginia’s 7th Congressional District, outraising Republican opponents several times over.
  • Incumbent Rep. Haley Stevens outraised her opponents, bringing in over $1.1 million, in her bid for reelection for Michigan's 11th District.
  • Rep. Susan Wild raised over $900,000 this quarter in her campaign to represent Pennsylvania’s 7th District. 
  • Rep. Lauren Underwood raised over $765,000 in the first quarter of 2022 for her campaign to represent Illinois’ 14th Congressional District.
  • Rep. Cindy Axne outraised her Republican opponents in the race to represent Iowa’s 3rd Congressional District, raking in over $760,000.
  • Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs announced that she raised about $750,000 for her gubernatorial race this quarter.
  • State Sen. Brittany Pettersen reported over $600,000 in fundraising for her campaign to represent Colorado’s 7th Congressional District.
  • Nikki Budzinski raised over $500,000, outraising Republican opponents in the race for Illinois’ 13th Congressional District.
  • Jackie Gordon raised over $340,000 in the race to represent New York’s 1st Congressional District.
