EMILYs List Congratulates Six Women Leaders On Their Primary Election Victories for the New York City Council

Today, EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, congratulated six Democratic pro-choice women on their primary election victories. Emily Cain, executive director of EMILYs List, released the following statement:

“EMILYs List is proud to congratulate these trailblazers on their primary victories. Each of these leaders has fought for the women and families of New York City by advocating for issues such as reproductive freedom, affordable housing, environmental justice, and equity in education. This diverse group includes advocates and organizers who have taken on sexual harassment, the gender wage gap, fought for domestic violence protections, and have shown a clear commitment to establishing a more equitable and just New York City. We look forward to continuing to support their campaigns as they work to secure their seats this November.”
