EMILY's List Statement on Teresa Leger Fernandez’s Victory in New Mexico’s 3rd Congressional District

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, congratulated Teresa Leger Fernandez on being elected to represent New Mexico’s 3rd Congressional District in the U.S. House. Stephanie Schriock, president of EMILYs List, released the following statement:

Time and time again, she has used her platform to elevate others, and we are so thrilled to celebrate her historic victory as the first woman to represent New Mexico’s 3rd Congressional District.”

Women Vote, the independent expenditure arm of EMILYs List, invested $413,000 in the district during the primary season, running an eight-piece mail program.
