EMILYs List Congratulates Ghazala Hashmi on Her Historic Victory in Virginia Senate District 10
WASHINGTON, D.C. — As races continue to be called in favor of pro-choice Democratic women across Virginia, EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, congratulated Ghazala Hashmi on her victory in Virginia's 10th Senate District. Ghazala is the first Muslim woman elected to the Virginia General Assembly. EMILYs List President Stephanie Schriock released the following statement:
