A champion for expanding economic opportunity and justice for all
Evelyn is running for Congress to expand economic opportunities for middle-class families and to protect the American dream her family achieved. After serving as deputy assistant secretary of defense for Russia, Ukraine, and Eurasia under President Obama, Evelyn was one of the first to sound the alarm on Russian interference in the 2016 election and to urge Congress to take action. Evelyn is fighting to expand access to affordable health care, support working families, and protect a woman’s right to choose. In Congress, Evelyn will fight tirelessly for all New Yorkers to have a fair shot.
An open seat we cannot take for granted
Evelyn is running for the open seat currently held by retiring Democratic Congresswoman Nita Lowey, a longtime champion for New York working families.
