A Fighter for Her Home and Her Community

Sue Altman is nonprofit executive director, former educator, and proud lifelong community member of New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District. Altman grew up attending the district’s public schools and went on to earn degrees from Columbia University and Oxford University in the U.K. After graduating, she became a teacher and basketball coach, mentoring and investing in the lives of the state’s young people. She was the executive director of New Jersey Working Families Alliance, which exists to fight political corruption, ensure financial accountability in government, and make New Jersey a just and more equitable place for all. Altman now lives in Lambertville, New Jersey.

Working Tirelessly for Garden Staters

Altman is committed to fighting for the issues that matter most to New Jerseyans in Congress: economic opportunity, government accountability, public education, gun safety, environmental protection, and access to reproductive health care. Extremist Republicans are doing everything in their power to roll back abortion access in the state, and Altman is a dedicated pro-choice champion who is ready to defend everyone’s right to determine the course of their lives, their bodies, and their futures.

Unseating a Radical Extremist

New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District is currently represented by Republican Rep. Tom Kean, Jr., who barely won election in 2022 and has spent his first term in office undermining our fundamental freedoms at every turn. Kean has supported a national abortion ban, voted for legislation that sought to spread disinformation about abortion and criminalize doctors, and tried to stop legislation that codified reproductive rights in the state. In order for Democrats to take back the U.S. House in November and stop the Republican plan to ban abortion across the entire country, the 7th Congressional District is a must-flip seat: and Sue Altman is the candidate to lead us to victory.
