Serving Granite Staters

Maggie Goodlander grew up in New Hampshire with more than 100 years of family roots in the city of Nashua. Her parents instilled values of community, citizenship, and service. Since then, Goodlander has dedicated her life to public service.

Her career began as a foreign policy advisor in the United States Senate, where she was instrumental in creating landmark sanctions legislation and strengthening democracy around the world. Goodlander later served as an intelligence officer in the Navy Reserve for more than a decade. While attending law school, Goodlander clerked at the U.S. Supreme Court. Goodlander returned to New Hampshire to use her legal expertise to fight for the most vulnerable citizens of her state. She then taught constitutional law at the University of New Hampshire and Dartmouth, and served on the boards of the New Hampshire’s Women’s Foundation, New Hampshire Legal Assistance, the World Affairs Council of New Hampshire, and the Rudman Center Advisory Board.

A Public Servant

Goodlander served as counsel in the first impeachment of former President Donald Trump because of her commitment to the belief that no one is above the law. After President Biden was elected, she became the Deputy Assistant Attorney General at the U.S. Department of Justice, where she took on corporate monopolies and stood up to real estate companies colluding on rent price and big healthcare companies that are making life harder for hardworking New Hampshire residents.

Recently, Goodlander was a senior advisor in the Biden administration and led the Unity Agenda for the nation, which is dedicated to beating the opioid epidemic, tackling the mental health crisis, holding Big Tech accountable, meeting our sacred obligation to veterans, and ending cancer as we know it.

Safeguard the Blue Hold

Goodlander is seeking election to New Hampshire’s 2nd Congressional District, which is currently held by U.S. Rep. Annie Kuster. Goodlander knows the value of hard work and what it means to work on behalf of the American people. Her election to the U.S. House is critical in protecting our fundamental freedoms and winning back the Democratic majority. We are confident that Goodlander will fight against extremist anti-choice Republicans to secure abortion access and our reproductive rights. EMILYs List is proud to stand with her in this election and looks forward to her work on behalf of Granite Staters.
