Dr. Ala Stanford

Dr. Ala Stanford is running for Pennsylvania’s 3rd Congressional District, an open Democratic seat in Philadelphia. A physician and health care advocate, Dr. Stanford  has dedicated her career to advancing health equity, expanding access to care, and empowering underrepresented communities. She is the first Black woman pediatric surgeon trained entirely in the U.S. Dr. Stanford is running for Congress because Philadelphians deserve a champion in Congress who will fight back against Donald Trump’s harmful policies, tackle food insecurity, and secure affordable living opportunities.
