Majority Council members turn the last part of that mantra into reality by making long-term investments in EMILY’s List’s political programs, including the Political Opportunity Program, which recruits and trains women to run for state and critical local office, and helps them build the skills they need to run for higher office.

The EMILY's List Majority Council underwrites EMILY’s List’s professional training programs for campaign managers, researchers, fundraisers, and grassroots field organizers. EMILY’s List training is the best in the business: our graduates work at the highest echelons of Democratic campaigns, and we’ve brought thousands of young people into progressive politics — creating a massive talent pool of experienced strategists committed to expanding women’s power in government!

With support from the Majority Council, EMILY's List provides strategic guidance to pro-choice Democratic women candidates throughout their campaigns. Our team of full-time veterans work with our candidates on the phone and in the field to be sure their campaigns can create plans for campaigns and fundraising … sharpen messages or revitalize campaign staff … respond effectively to attacks … and turn close races into victories up and down the ticket!

Majority Council members provide vital resources for the EMILY’s List WOMEN VOTE! program — support that has made EMILY’s List the nation’s expert on women voters! Thanks to Majority Council support, EMILY’s List conducts extensive quantitative and qualitative research, develops messages that resonate with key blocs of women voters, and makes sure that women cast ballots on behalf of our candidates and all Democrats on Election Day. When women vote, women win!

The Majority Council is the leadership group of EMILY's List supporters. Your commitment as a Majority Council member, combined with that of hundreds of other Majority Council members across the country, gives pro-choice Democratic women the power to win!

Winning Takes Commitment!

Majority Council members make an annual contributions of $1,000, $2,500, or more to EMILY's List, in addition to fulfilling their commitment to give $100 or more to at least two recommended candidates. EMILY's List, in turn, makes sure Majority Council members stay informed about our political programs and candidates. Each Majority Council member is assigned a personal advisor on call to provide answers, insights, and information about EMILY’s List and our candidates.

Naturally, you will receive all the regular benefits of EMILY's List membership, including newsletters, campaign assessments, detailed candidate profiles, and "News from the Field" e-mails. In addition, as a Majority Council member, you will have private access to EMILY's List research and political reports. You will receive confidential monthly political memos from EMILY’s List President Stephanie Schriock describing how your support as a Majority Council member is helping pro-choice Democratic women win elections.

And you will have ample opportunity to meet our candidates, elected officials, and other Majority Council members at events across the country and in Washington, DC — including the annual Majority Council Conference.
