Amalia Stott
Development Director

Amalia Stott is the Director of Development at EMILY’s List. She leads the department that raises millions of dollars for EMILY’s List candidates and the political programs that help elect pro-choice Democratic women at the local, state and federal levels.

Amalia has over 19 years of development experience directing complex multi-channel fundraising programs on behalf of non-profit organizations, private sector companies and political campaigns. Most recently she served as Senator Barbara Boxer’s finance director of her successful 2010 re-election campaign. Amalia’s political experience began on an EMILY’s List campaign in Minnesota and she also worked at the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, and on the re-election campaigns for Senator Tom Daschle and Senator Chuck Schumer as well as former Majority Leader Dick Gephardt’s presidential campaign. In addition Amalia led the marketing and development at a boutique winery in Napa Valley and ran the day to day operations, including the business development efforts at a start up at a biotechnology company in San Francisco.

Amalia grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota and is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Madison. After living in San Francisco for 10 years, Amalia now lives in Bethesda with her husband and daughter.
