Denise Feriozzi is the Political Director at EMILY’s List, leading efforts to recruit, train and elect pro-choice Democratic women at the state and local level, strengthening partnerships with progressive groups at the state and national level, directing the WOMEN VOTE! project and overseeing research on women’s leadership and political participation.
Previously, Denise ran the WOMEN VOTE! program for two cycles, overseeing the largest persuasion and voter mobilization effort in EMILY’s List’s history and winning 85% of targeted races in 2012. Denise also worked for Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign, serving as Iowa Caucus Field Director, and in various roles on the ground in the Nevada, Ohio and Wisconsin primaries. Denise has also worked on independent and issue campaigns for the Democratic Governors' Association, Communities for Quality Education and Americans United to Protect Social Security. Denise got her start in politics working as a Field Organizer for Senator Tim Johnson’s 2002 reelection effort in South Dakota (defeating John Thune by a mere 524 votes statewide) and Senator Mary Landrieu’s runoff in Louisiana.
Denise is a graduate of the College of William and Mary in Virginia and a proud native of the great state of New Jersey. She lives with her husband Zach in Washington, DC.
