Tarryl Clark
A champion for quality education
Former Minnesota state senator and assistant majority leader, Tarryl Clark fought hard in last year’s congressional race against Cong. Michele Bachmann but was outspent nearly three to one in a tough year for Democrats. In office, Tarryl focused on increasing the quality of and access to education for Minnesotans – an essential investment in the future of her state. She offered legislation that would help families pay for early childhood education, and she supported legislation to help reduce class sizes.
A strong advocate for sustainable job growth
After a blistering 2010 campaign, Tarryl continued her dedication to improving the economic outlook for Minnesotans by partnering with the BlueGreen Alliance. The campaign was dedicated to green job creation, benefitting working people and encouraging corporations toward more efficient, environmentally sound practices. Throughout her career of public service, Tarryl has sought sensible solutions that build a stronger future.
An anti-choice, anti-woman opponent
Tarryl will likely face GOP freshman Chip Cravaack, who was an original co-sponsor of the extreme bill H. R. 3, which attempted to redefine rape and drastically restrict access to reproductive health care. Cravaack is so anti-choice that he opposes abortion in even cases of rape, incest, and danger to maternal health. We need Tarryl to unseat this radical Republican.
