A committed community activist

Attorney and Granite State native Ann McLane Kuster, whose family has a long history of political activism, is a dedicated community leader who has used her legal expertise to fight for women's reproductive rights, make college more affordable, and help low-income families get life-saving medication.

An oft-lauded advocate for women and families

Ann McLane Kuster worked on behalf of NARAL Pro-Choice New Hampshire as one of a network of attorneys providing legal counsel to young women, and she’s won numerous awards for her efforts to expand opportunities for women. Touched by her own mother’s battle with Alzheimer’s, Ann has become an eloquent advocate on the subjects of aging and mental illness.

A top Democratic recruit

With the help of EMILY’s List in 2010, Ann came within 1% of winning this seat -- but Cong. Charlie Bass was swept in on the Republican wave. Bass’s anti-woman, anti-family record already has voters experiencing buyers’ remorse -- and Ann is ready for a rematch. Since Bass has shown that he isn’t up to the task, Ann is offering voters a candidate who will fight for jobs and stand up for women’s health and rights.
