Arts and crafts chain Hobby Lobby is pursuing a lawsuit against the Obama administration’s birth-control mandate and they have the backing of a few prominent Republican lawmakers.  The GOP is at it yet again -- trying to limit access to birth control.

Campaign rhetoric can be feisty. But when a member of the U.S. House of Representatives – like Joe Walsh - makes personal attacks on his opponent or other public figures, it’s inexcusable. His attacks have been baseless, vile, and completely unrelated to issues in the campaign. Rep. Joe Walsh does not have the content or character or someone who should be representing the people of Illinois – or anyone in the United States.

Fiction can be fun…and dangerous

Paul Ryan’s work of oral fiction…er…Convention speech certainly had all the fact checkers riled up last night. Ryan’s loose relationship with the truth stretched out to health care, Medicare, the deficit, the US’s credit rating, and the closing of a GM plant in Wisconsin.

WASHINGTON – Today, EMILY’s List President Stephanie Schriock released a statement reacting to comments made by GOP Senate candidate Wendy Long. The Buffalo News reports that Long claimed efforts made by her party to limit access to birth control were “a complete fabrication” and dismissed Republican attacks on women’s health and finances as “this whole phony war on women.” Schriock responded:
