On September 11, 2001, the country watched in horror as two planes were flown into the towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, a third into the Pentagon just outside Washington, DC, and a fourth driven into the ground in Shanksville, PA.

It’s not a day any of us will soon forget, and it irrevocably defined our policies, culture and history for the last eleven years – and undoubtedly into the future.

What a fantastic June for EMILY’s List as primary polls closed in key states and results came pouring in announcing victories for our candidates across the country. We were stoked to see these hardworking, progressive champions of choice move on to November’s general election.

Let’s take a look at the primaries we’ve been tracking:

I know we're sounding like a broken record, constantly waxing about redistricting, but the once-every-decade process really does produce so many exciting new opportunities for women candidates - and 2012 is no exception. EMILY's List is proud to announce our support of no fewer than four candidates today, all four of whom are running in districts affected by redistricting.
