Yesterday, the 113th Congress was sworn into office, including 16 new EMILY’s List women to the House and 9 EMILY’s List women to the Senate. With a record number of women entering both chambers and the incoming freshman class being the most diverse in history, there was a lot to celebrate. So we did!

Last night was an exciting night in Arizona. EMILY’s List candidate, Kyrsten Sinema, won her hard-fought primary in Arizona’s new 9th district. With Sinema’s victory and long-time EMILY's List champion Ann Kirkpatrick’s win in AZ-01, EMILY’s List has now won 12 of 17 competitive primaries among fully endorsed EMILY’s List candidates this cycle.
