Yesterday, the 113th Congress was sworn into office, including 16 new EMILY’s List women to the House and 9 EMILY’s List women to the Senate. With a record number of women entering both chambers and the incoming freshman class being the most diverse in history, there was a lot to celebrate. So we did!

Once again we’ve rounded up the latest ads from our EMILY's List candidates! With elections right around the corner, our ladies are asking the difficult questions, taking a stand and exposing their opponent’s radical positions. Check out what they have to say:

Our WOMEN VOTE! programs has been very busy this year. But there’s no sleep ‘til Election Day for EMILY’s List and WOMEN VOTE!, as they launched a new voter education program aimed at independent women in battleground states from coast to coast.

Only a month ago, polling showed Tammy Baldwin down by 5 points. Today Public Policy Polling released new data that shows Tammy leading her Republican opponent, Tommy Thompson, 48-45.

We already shared the highlights from our week in Charlotte at the Democratic National Convention, including our Town Hall. But another highlight for us was how many of our women spoke at the Convention. It was truly remarkable to watch the women we’ve spent all year championing take the stage and inspire a whole new audience. We also loved the speeches from some of our candidates in past cycles. EMILY’s List women really are rock stars.

Tammy Duckworth

When Tammy Baldwin was 9 years old, she contracted a serious childhood illness. She spent three months in a hospital recovering. When her family found out their insurance wouldn’t cover her care, what started out as an emotionally draining situation became financially draining as well. After Tammy recovered, her family still couldn’t find insurance. She became one of “those children” with pre-existing conditions, of which there are millions across the country.
