Here's the good news: yesterday, Public Policy Polling showed Kathy Hochul leading 35% to GOP opponent Jane Corwin's 31%. This is great in and of itself, but PPP saw some more indicators in their data, including the extreme unpopularity of Congressional Republicans, loss of independent support for the GOP, and the fading of the "enthusiasm gap."

I love the smell of desperation in the morning. (OK, fine, it’s the afternoon, but you get the idea). How do you know your campaign is flailing? When your idea of calling in the big guns is getting Cong. Allen West, Tea Party darling and anti-woman extremist, to campaign on your behalf. Apparently, this is the situation Republican Jane Corwin, running in the special election for New York’s 26th congressional district, finds herself in.
