State Senator and DFL-endorsed candidate Tarryl Clark's campaign continued to gain momentum this weekend, with the news that opponent Maureen Reed would quit the race and throw her support to Clark in Clark's campaign against renegade Republican Cong. Michele Bachmannn.

Just what is going on in Missouri? We know that Secretary of State Robin Carnahan is preparing for the upcoming August 3rd primaries. After all, as the state’s top elections official, Carnahan implemented Missouri’s first statewide voter registration system, created the Missouri Voting Rights Center, and launched an interactive election results website.

Exciting news for Tarryl Clark in Minnesota! In a process that often takes multiple ballots, Tarryl received enough votes in the first round to win the endorsement of the Democratic-Farm-Labor party this weekend, officially making her the party's candidate to take on right-wing favorite Cong. Michelle Bachmann in Minnesota's sixth congressional district.
