What a night! I spent primary night in Milwaukee with the Tammy Baldwin campaign. It was an exciting day for the campaign and across the state, as they would learn who Tammy’s Republican opponent would be in November.
Last month, we introduced our first findings of our 2012 WOMEN VOTE! Research, where we learned that women do not believe Washington is working for families like theirs. And now, we‘re back with more research that we think you’ll find fascinating.
We asked, and you delivered. The Koch Brothers were going after Tammy Baldwin in Wisconsin, and the EMILY’s List community pushed back with a resounding NO. Prepares for August General Elections to Replace Radical Republicans with Democratic Women
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Today, EMILY's List, the nation's largest resource for women in politics, applauded the success of all five Democratic women challengers in the Wisconsin State Senate primary races. They bested the "fake" Democrats run by the state Republican Party in an attempt to confuse voters and delay the process.
Apparently the Wisconsin GOP will stop at nothing, including cheap, deceitful tricks, in their desperate attempt to maintain control of the state legislature in the upcoming recall elections.
EMILY's List President Stephanie Schriock was featured earlier today on MOMocrats radio, discussing our latest initiative, the Wisconsin WOMEN VOTE! Project. The Wisconsin state Senate recall elections are an opportunity to elect 5 pro-choice Democratic women right now and build a roadblock to Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker’s disgraceful anti-women policies. This is a rare opportunity to regain democratic control of a chamber in the state legislature.
