Patty Murray

An important choice in Washington state

Yesterday, the anti-choice group Susan B. Anthony List endorsed GOP Senate candidate Dino Rossi. Not a surprise, considering Rossi hasn’t made a habit of concealing his anti-choice, anti-woman views – but don’t think for a minute that this endorsement wasn’t conveniently timed to coincide with an event for Democratic Sen. Patty Murray that will feature Gov. Chris Gregoire and Planned Parenthood Action Fund President Cecile Richards.

They might be few, but they sure are mighty.

Faced with increasingly likelihood of a government shutdown, EMILY’s List women in Congress are doing what they do best – representing our interests by telling it like it is. Blazing the trail. Breaking new ground. Making history.

In the final week of what has been an election cycle for the record books, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce announced they'll be dropping one last round of ad buys in Washington state: $1,000,000 to attack Sen. Patty Murray. President Obama, the First Lady, and our own EMILY's List Chair Ellen Malcom have all joined Sen. Murray to rally support. There's no question: this race is a national priority for both parties.
