Rep. Ed Markey’s decision to run for Secretary of State John Kerry’s Senate seat  – a contest Markey is favored to win – opened the door for prosecutor, mom and highly popular state Sen. Katherine Clark to run for his heavily Democratic House seat. Clark, a longtime activist, is lauded throughout her community for her work on public safety, education and health care.
