WASHINGTON, D.C. – Yesterday, the Now or Never Political Action Committee announced that it is spending $800,000 on TV ads in support of Republican extremist and candidate for Senate in Missouri, Todd Akin. The ad states that an Akin victory is essential in order to help push through Mitt Romney’s right-wing agenda. Simultaneously, National Republicans are dodging the question of significant cash transfers to Missouri Republicans in support of Akin, contrary to earlier efforts to distance the national party from Akin’s disastrously radical statements.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Yesterday, it was reported that John Koster, Republican candidate for Congress in Washington State had explained his opposition to allowing rape victims to terminate a resulting pregnancy by saying “the rape thing” wouldn’t be improved by an abortion, which would be “putting more violence onto a woman’s body.”
