WASHINGTON, D.C. – Tonight, voters in Hawaii’s second district made history by electing Tulsi Gabbard to the U.S. House of Representatives. With the help of EMILY’s List WOMEN VOTE! Gabbard made it through a highly competitive primary, and will now be one of the first female combat veterans in office, as well as the first Hindu to serve in Congress.

These victories mean New Hampshire has made history by electing the first ever all-woman Congressional delegation plus Governor in America.

Voters in the Granite State have decisively rejected the extremist positions of leaders like Frank Guinta, and have made history by becoming the first state in the nation with an all woman chief executive and congressional delegation. “Carol Shea-Porter is a progressive champion with a long career of fighting for women and families,” said Stephanie Schriock, President of EMILY’s List.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Tonight, voters in Wisconsin made history by electing Tammy Baldwin to the United States Senate. Tammy will be the first woman to represent Wisconsin in the Senate and first openly gay person to serve in the Senate.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Tonight, we celebrated the re-elections of Kirsten Gillibrand (NY), Maria Cantwell (WA), Amy Klobuchar (MN), Dianne Feinstein (CA), Debbie Stabenow (MI), and Claire McCaskill (MO) – all six of the Democratic women incumbents endorsed by EMILY’s List this cycle. This was the largest number of Democratic women to stand for re-election to the Senate in history.
