Media Advisory: EMILY's List President Stephanie Schriock to Speak On Glamour Magazine Panel

WHERE ARE THE WOMEN CANDIDATES FOR 2012 AND HOW CAN WE GET MORE OF THEM?

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Stephanie Schriock, President of EMILY’s List, is speaking this evening about the historic year for women in politics at a panel presented by Glamour magazine.

2012 year marks an historic opportunity to change how Washington functions by electing Democratic women who stand up to the right, get things done, and build a more progressive America.

There are more women running for Senate than ever before – and every EMILY’s List challenger is poised to become the first woman senator to represent her state. The growing momentum of women winning special elections and an ever-expanding House field means the march to a Democratic takeover of the House is being led by women candidates. Just yesterday, EMILY’s List endorsed Grace Meng – a true progressive and champion for women – for Congress in New York’s sixth congressional district. With the EMILY’s List community larger and more energized than ever, 2012 is shaping up to be an historic year for women.
