EMILY’s List Announces the Launch of “Road to History”: An On-Line Tool to Inform and Engage Voters in the Final Campaign Stretch
WASHINGTON, D.C. – EMILY’s List, the nation’s leading organization for women in politics, announced the launch of its “Road to History” project, an interactive website that will highlight the importance of supporting EMILY’s List candidates during the final stretches of their campaigns.

The site will follow the campaign activities of EMILY’s List candidates, share stories from women across the country who have been negatively impacted by Republican anti-woman policies, and show the wide range of attacks against women that have taken place in the House of Representatives over the past year.
“We are so excited about this fantastic way for voters to learn more about how Republican lawmakers are affecting their lives on a daily basis, and how EMILY’s List candidates can make a positive difference” said Stephanie Schriock, President of EMILY’s List. “There is a lot at stake in the next 95 days. Families across the country want leaders who will work on expanding their access to healthcare, education, and economic equality, and they have a great opportunity to elect an historic number of pro-choice Democratic women who will make that happen.”
In the 2009-2010 cycle, EMILY's List raised more than $38.5 million to support its mission of recruiting and supporting women candidates, helping them build strong campaigns, and mobilizing women voters to turn out and vote. With a community of more than 1,500,000 members across the country, EMILY's List is one of the largest political action committees in the nation. Since its founding in 1985, EMILY's List has worked to elect 87 pro-choice, Democratic women to the U.S. House, 16 to the U.S. Senate, nine governors, and hundreds of women to the state legislatures, state constitutional offices, and other key local offices. In the 2009-2010 cycle, EMILY's List had the largest number of members and donors in our 27 year history.
