EMILY’s List’s WOMEN VOTE! Launches Television Ad in Colorado

Telling Women Voters The Truth About Cory Gardner

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- EMILY's List, the nation's largest resource for women candidates, today announced a new WOMEN VOTE! project in Colorado's fourth congressional district.

The Colorado WOMEN VOTE! program unveiled a new television advertisement educating voters on Cory Gardner’s record on children and families.

"This year, when there is so much at stake, we must do everything we can to distinguish between the choices that voters – particularly women -- have on election day," said Denise Feriozzi, Director of EMILY's List WOMEN VOTE! "WOMEN VOTE! will continue to set the record straight on candidates like Cory Gardner, a conservative state representative and Tea Party enthusiast who sponsored a bill to ban abortion in Colorado, who voted against providing emergency contraception to victims of sexual assault and Gardner even voted against cracking down on deadbeat dads that skip child support payments. In this campaign we hope to show Colorado women and voters the important choice they are making that will have an impact on their futures and their families."

Launched in 1995, the historic EMILY's List WOMEN VOTE! project combines polling and research, advanced information technology, sophisticated message testing, and precinct-by-precinct field work to mobilize millions of women voters across the country. EMILY's List designed WOMEN VOTE! to build a progressive political base that will elect more Democrats, especially women, by helping to increase turnout among women voters year after year.
