“Once again women made up the backbone of Hillary Clinton’s support in her critical victories in Texas, Ohio, and Rhode Island. Women have been Sen. Clinton’s most consistent and committed backers from the beginning and they will see her through to the end and victory. Exit polling shows that women continue to turn out in unprecedented numbers growing their share of the electorate by two to seven percent over the last presidential election. EMILY's List is proud to have played a role through our WOMEN VOTE! program in turning out women for Sen. Clinton in Ohio and Texas. Last night, the country saw what EMILY's List has known for more than two decades – it is women voters who will create the path to victory in 2008.”
