EMILY'S List Announces Support of Donna Frye for Mayor of San Diego

Major endorsement signals confidence in long serving community activist

San Diego, CA – EMILY's List, the nation's largest grassroots political network and financial resource for women running for elective office, is proud to announce its support for Councilwoman Donna Frye in her bid for San Diego Mayor.

"Donna Frye is an excellent candidate who is well-positioned to become the next mayor of San Diego," said Karen White, National Political Director for EMILY's List. "As a Councilwoman she has been a tireless fighter for the people of San Diego. She is a dedicated leader who is committed to protecting the people of the city she loves.

In her time as a city councilwoman and a community activist, Frye has worked to strengthen San Diego policies, including protecting the environment, as well as the health and welfare of the people of San Diego. In this race, she has drawn upon the broad grassroots support she has built around the city, and voters are responding to her record of dedication to San Diego.

"On July 26th, we know the voters of San Diego will show their confidence in Donna Frye's leadership. Her victory in this upcoming election will be a result of the breath and depth of support Frye has built across the entire city," continued White. "Councilwoman Frye has worked hard as a small businesswoman and a community advocate and voters will recognize that she will work hard for them as their next mayor."
