Kirkpatrick Could See Special Election
The recent federal grand jury indictment of GOP Rep. Rick Renzi could lead to a special election as early as May for EMILY’s List candidate Ann Kirkpatrick in Arizona’s first congressional district. Renzi, who is also a co-chair of Sen. John McCain’s presidential campaign in Arizona, was indicted on 35 charges of conspiracy, fraud, extortion, and money laundering. Ann Kirkpatrick is an experienced legislator with a strong record on ethics who is best positioned to win this seat and can bring the change to Washington that is so desperately needed. When elected, whether that is in a special election or in November, she will give the people of Arizona’s first district honest and ethical representation again.
