POP candidates named recipients of John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award

Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner and California Secretary of State Debra Bowen have been named recipients of the John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award. Brunner and Bowen, POP candidates from 2006, are being recognized for their efforts to improve voting integrity in their respective states. Both women were part of EMILY's List's Political Opportunity Program (POP), which helps pro-choice Democratic women run and win state and local office.
