Long Thompson shows lead in Indiana poll
Former Congresswoman Jill Long Thompson is pulling ahead in her campaign for Indiana governor. Going into this week’s primary in the Hoosier state, Long Thompson leads her opponent, Jim Schellinger, 48 to 42 percent. Pitted against Republican incumbent Gov. Mitch Daniels for the general election, polls suggest the two are in a dead heat, each carrying 45 percent of the vote.
