Candidates court Clinton supporters
With the Democratic presidential primary process now completed, both Sen. Barack Obama and Sen. John McCain will be vying for voters who supported Sen. Hillary Clinton for the Democratic nomination. EMILY’s List Communications Director Ramona Oliver joined DC Navigators Republican consultant Todd Harris on NPR to discuss efforts by both candidates to woo these voters. While some Clinton supporters may feel alienated by the Democratic Party and are drawn to McCain’s experience, Oliver makes the case that most Clinton supporters will follow Clinton’s endorsement and support Obama this fall.
