On September 11, 2001, the country watched in horror as two planes were flown into the towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, a third into the Pentagon just outside Washington, DC, and a fourth driven into the ground in Shanksville, PA.

It’s not a day any of us will soon forget, and it irrevocably defined our policies, culture and history for the last eleven years – and undoubtedly into the future.

After celebrating Maggie’s endorsement by NEA-NH, we headed back to Hassan campaign headquarters in Manchester. We found so many interns and field organizers hard at work to getting Maggie elected. We loved all the signs around the office that had quotes from people about why they support Maggie. People in New Hampshire know Maggie understands their economic problems, will fight for environmental protections, and she’ll fight tirelessly for women’s rights.

One Chance for a Democratic Woman Governor

    Stephanie Schriock
    May 11, 2012

At the end of 2012 we could be faced with a nation that has zero Democratic women governors. Zero. For the first time in over 15 years. And that's not a step back that I am willing to take.

At EMILY's List, we work to elect Democratic women to every level of office. And it's every level of office for a reason.

Electing Democratic women governors has never been more crucial. And at this critical moment for women in America we only have one chance. That chance is Maggie Hassan. And Maggie is playing to win.
