Aloha, Colleen Hanabusa!
EMILY's List is excited to announce our endorsement of state Senate President Colleen Hanabusa in Hawaii's first congressional district. Colleen is the true progressive in this race, and we're thrilled to get behind her bid.
Here are some words President Ellen R. Malcolm's statement yesterday:

Our women are often so busy juggling legislation, advocacy, and outreach, it can be hard to keep up – and Senator Kirsten Gillibrand of New York is no exception. Here’s a quick recap of just a few things she’s been up to lately:

We're almost at the one-year mark for 2010 elections, and you can feel races starting to heat up. "Put her in her place."
You've got to be kidding me.
The National Republican Congressional Committee has really crossed the line. The NRCC publicly encouraged Gen. Stanley McChrystal, commander of U.S. forces in Afghanistan, to put Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi "in her place" for voicing an opinion on the the situation there. Check out some photos below about life at the List.

We just love watching our women at work.
Yesterday, four EMILY's List alums -- Senators Amy Klobuchar, Barbara Mikulski, Kay Hagan, and Jeanne Shaheen -- held a press conference focused on impact of health care reform on women. Of course, we already knew that women were central to the health care debate -- and that the women we've helped elect are playing a crucial role in ensuring reform efforts address women's concerns.
