We’re always so proud when we see stories like these about our candidates.
When Betty Sutton saw a news story about an Ohio family in her district that unfairly had their credit card rates hiked, she took action. Because of her work on behalf of Chuck and Jeanne Lane, the couple will now be able to afford surgery and college for their son.

Houston mayoral candidate Annise Parker is no stranger to breaking barriers.
Parker, who currently serves as the city's controller, has made a name for herself as someone who gets things done and commands support from both sides of the political aisle. And, as an openly gay candidate, Parker has been a trailblazer for other LGBT leaders in Texas.

The GOP sure is trigger happy lately.
We told you earlier about the NRCC's Young Guns program, which helps recruit and train GOPers in targeted open-seat and challenger races. And now we have news that the Young Guns are taking aim and increasing their numbers, adding 32 new GOP candidates to the program -- and using more gun analogies and references than ever!

Even though we just told you about this great video featuring Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm, we couldn't resist sharing another with you.
In an candid conversation with TIME's Rick Stengel, Granholm gets fired up about recovery in Michigan and answers questions about her efforts to spur growth in the state, how to re-purpose Michigan's auto manufacturing infrastructure, and the contents of her iPod.

Big news from the Granite State!
Annie will likely have a competitive race ahead of her. Republican Jennifer Horn, who took on Hodes unsuccessfully in 2008, has already announced she's in the race. And former Republican Cong. Charlie Bass, who held this seat until 2006, is said to be eying the seat.

Big news from the Granite State!
EMILY's List announced our endorsement of Ann McLane Kuster in New Hampshire's second district today. Annie is campaigning to fill the seat of Democratic Cong. Paul Hodes, who's running for the Senate next year. It will be crucial that Democrats hold on to this seat next year -- and we have just the candidate for the job!

You scratch my back, I'll scratch yours.
Former GOP House Whip Cong. Roy Blunt has done plenty of favors for his GOP colleagues in Congress, raising millions through his Rely on Your Beliefs PAC. Now, it appears, it's his turn to reap the benefits.
Last quarter, Blunt, who's running for Missouri Senate, was among the top Republican recipients of PAC money -- much of which came from his colleagues in Washington.

The White House posted an excellent video with First Lady Michelle Obama today, outlining the importance of health care reform on women's lives.
In addition to telling a personal story the difference insurance made when the Obamas had a frightening situation with one of their daughters, the video also features EMILY's List alum Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius, speaking about disparities in coverage of men and women.
